St Philip and St James Church
St Philip And St James Church
St. Philip and St. James, known as ‘Pip and Jims’, sit on Grafton Road in Leckhampton, Cheltenham, between Bath Road and University Park Campus. The church aims to welcome everyone, especially families. Built in 1882 by architect John Middleton, it's a Grade II listed building, showcasing Gothic Revival style. The congregation, young and lively, has grown over the years.
As part of the renovation, they replaced the old pews with Theo wooden chair from New Design Group. These chairs are special because they can be linked together to make straight or curved rows. Plus, they're lightweight and can be stacked up to 30 high, making them perfect for the church's new needs. For over sixteen years, the church community dreamed of making their space more versatile for the local area. They wanted the church to be open every day, hosting services, events, and community gatherings.
