Architectus’ design for the Qantas business lounge expansion at Brisbane International Airport reflects the quality and professionalism for which Qantas is internationally known.
The lounge form takes its cues from aviation design, with the gentle curves reflecting the lines of the recently updated Qantas kangaroo logo. The design aesthetic is inspired by the natural beauty of Queensland and works cohesively with the established lounge located above.
The interior of this lounge was designed by Geyer, who were tasked by Qantas to create a world-class hospitality design within the Qantas brand guidelines, while also capturing the flavors of the region. The furnishing selection embodies a relaxed approach to tropical Australian living, featuring Huma chairs by Expormim. Designed by Mario Ruiz, Huma preserves the classic philosophy of the rattan production process, bringing together simplicity, comfort, and durability.
