Hayward Library & Community Learning Center
Hayward Library & Community Learning Center
Noll & Tam Architects designed the Hayward Library & Community Learning Center to serve as a central hub in Hayward, California. The new library is conceived as "The Heart of the City," envisioned as the centerpiece of social infrastructure to support the citizens of Hayward. This vision is reflected in the library's extensive collections, which play a crucial role in providing patrons with a broad variety of popular reading materials.
Throughout the library, various breakout areas are designed to enhance comfort and facilitate interaction among visitors. One notable feature is the Mitt Lounge Chair, which offers a relaxed seating option for visitors to unwind and engage with one another. The Mitt Lounge Chair is equipped with weight-locking casters and a tailored handle, allowing users to quickly and easily rearrange the space.
In another area of the library and learning center, the space is furnished with Tipo Chairs with sled bases from Aichi. These GECA-certified Tipo Chairs are high-density, multi-purpose mesh stacking chairs. Their aesthetics, comfort, and functionality set a new direction in the evolution of stacking chairs. The lightweight design of the Tipo mesh stacking armchair ensures the practicality.
