Bernhardt Design and Andreu World have done it again, taking out a number of Gold and Silver awards at the Best of NeoCon 2017 Awards. Held on June 12 at the Renaissance Hotel in Chicago, the annual awards ceremony hosted by Contract magazine recognises innovation, quality and attention to detail in contact furnishing for commercial environments. A total of six awards went to Bernhardt Design and Andreu World including… LOUNGE FURNITURE Editors’ Choice: Bernhardt Design – Terry Crews Collection The Terry Crews Collection is part of Bernhardt Design’s ongoing initiative to collaborate with people outside the traditional design world and it’s certainly proved Bernhardt’s President and Creative Director Jerry Helling’s instincts to be correct. Picking up the Editors’ Choice award, the Egypt-inspired collection includes five pieces and Helling even hails the Ibis sofa “as the best thing we’ve ever done.” Learn more about the collection here SEATING: BAR STOOLS Silver: Andreu World – Smart Barstool The Smart Barstool, designed by Estudio Andreu, is a new stool version of the existing Smart chair collection. It is made of solid beech wood with either a timber, upholstered or woven-band seat and just like the existing chair, perfectly balances form and ergonomics with strength and lightness.
