It came to my attention today that it is the birth date of the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.   A truly talented and passionate pop-artist, rapper and one-third of four time Grammy winning girl band TLC who tragically passed away in 2002. Outrageous in behaviour and outrageously gifted went hand in hand for Left Eye, who often rapped on collaborative pieces with artists such as Tupac Shakir, Toni Braxton, Missy Elliot and Mel C (former Sporty Spice).   Interestingly, just recently I had a conversation with a friend about Left Eye, who told me at the time of her death, the life of Left Eye was being filmed for a documentary.  The final tragic car accident which took her life was filmed as part of the documentary which turned into The Last Days of Left Eye”. There have been plenty of times where you’ll find me having a little secret-sing-a-long to a Left Eye or TLC song, and so it is that today, I publicly celebrate Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes. &
